I am so torn on what to do with Mackenzie!! For those that I have scene the past couple of days, you know where I am coming from, but I think its getting worse!! Kenz has this problem where she swats at anyone and everyone. Dogs, babies, mom, dad... and even strangers. Its so embarrasing!!! She has just started doing it the past 2 weeks or so. Last night she did it to thomas and he put her in her crib, kind of like a time out... i guess it worked for a minute, but it came back :( I need any and all the advice that I can get. I dont want the mean bully kid. Its not like she hasn't been around kids, like she doesn't know how to share toys and stuff. I dont know why she does it !! Help me.....

I think it is a stage that all toddlers go through. She gets a reaction, even if it is negative and thats all she wants. Have you tried a very short time out? Just be consistent in whatever you do. You could call your peditrictian's nurse and talk to them, they probably have the best advice out there. Good luck honey, I LOVE MY TODDLER!!! HA! :)
All kiddos go through it! Shoot, my Grace still sometimes does it.
She is just looking for a reaction like Michelle said.
CONSISTENTCY is KEY! My advce is time out. I wouldn't however do it in her crib b/c you don't want her to associate it with something negative. I would say pick a corner in your house and make that the time out spot. If you have to set up the pack 'n play in that spot do that. Our "spot" is just near the front door where she is not near anything fun. I would say even just 30 seconds in time out would be enough. Oh and my pediatrician said if you have to put them in time out while at Walmart do it! Again... consistency.

Copy and paste that in the address bar.
Just a little something to read.
Also my friend was putting her daughter in her crib for time out, and then after a few weeks they had a hard time getting her to go to sleep in her crib.
Not to say that is the case for every child, but they may associate it with negitivity.
I do agree, that it is probably a stage. Not that, that makes it any better...=(
